That work is lovely! Pity some of the tints are lost to the scanner, that always happens. DX My mom loves hydrangeas. Did you know that the color of the blossoms is determined mainly by the pH of the soil it grows on? With the exceptions of specific cultivars, I mean. So...
Basic soil gives pink blossoms. Neutral soil gives white or violet blossoms. Acidic soil gives blue blossoms.
My mom's Hydrangeas were always either blue or violet. I saw a place that had pink ones not too long ago, and I thought they were lovely. I dunno if it's my cheap scanner or what, but it likes to really overdo the colors. I had to really tone it down in photoshop.
That's gorgeous! ...Might I suggest trying Canson's Marker Paper? You can blend the markers like watercolors on that kind of paper and it doesn't drink as much of the ink. You'll get to keep your markers much, much longer.
I really like the way that came out though! ...Are Tombow water based markers or alcohol? Gorgeous work!
They're water-based markers. I've been thinking about getting a marker pad, but I worry that since my Tombows aren't alcohol-based, they'd tear up the paper.
